The Audi Q3: Compact Yet Versatile
The Audi Q3 made its debut in April of 2011; it is a five-door compact coupe from Audi AG. It is classified as the smallest SUV of its kind but do not be fooled by its size; this car is packed with amazing features that you can never find from its other siblings the Q5 and Q7.
First and foremost, its design is catered for people who like a lifestyle/sports vehicle while the others are more of a family and off-road type design.
The Audi Q3 is more of a sports car that with its powerful transverse engine with flexible steering and strong suspension. It follows many features of another compact vehicle, the Volkswagen Golf Mk5 and the Mk6 with Direct-Shift Gearbox, dual clutch transmission and an amazing 155 kW (208 hp) 2.0 FSI turbo engine which produces a torque of 280 to 380 Nm. It also boasts of direct fuel injection, start-stop system, energy recovery system and turbo charging capabilities.
The Q3 has a front-wheel drive and an on-demand four-wheel drive variety.
The Q3 is basically a crossover and was built to augment the declining sales of large sized SUVs. Although trimmer than most SUVs in the market this vehicle is still considered a “classy” 5 door SUV and is classified as a small off-road 4×4 vehicle.
When it comes to versatility, the Q3 has a spacious interior as opposed to its looks. It can be a family car, a sports car or a four-wheel drive off-road car you can take anywhere with you. It has 16-inch alloy wheels with 215/65 tires that can withstand any rough terrain. Xenon plus headlights also give this car a higher safety level; this lighting solution is perfect for night driving and in weather conditions when visibility is low.
Interiors of the Audi Q3 are ergonomically designed giving the driver and passengers ultimate comfort and safety as they ride. Color options and a variety of textures for the interiors are available which makes it more appealing to users; customizing is available upon request.
The interiors are available in viz. black, grey, beige and brown shades while the exterior is available in twelve different shades.
